About us

On the third of March 2017 we emigrated from the Netherlands to France, to be exact: The Perigord Noir. A splendid area with magnificent hills, located roughly 15 km north of the well-known river Dordogne. The idea of starting something new, a business of our own, in a country that we’ve always loved, really appealed to us. After a search of more than one year we finally found a beautiful location comprising two houses, with one of them excellent to alter into three holiday homes. Because there was a lot of restoration work that had to be done, it would take us about a year to do all the renovation. The result so far is beautiful and we are very proud of it.

With the help of local contractors and friends this historic building from the 17th century, will be completely renovated in march 2018. It was hard physical labour, but gave us great satisfaction. The gîtes are fitted with all modern comforts, modern bathroom, spacious bedrooms, a big lounge with open plan kitchens, spacious terraces and above all a splendid garden for the guests. We ourselves live on the same terrain, in another house next to the gîtes. We are therefore at your disposal for information about the many activities one can undertake here in the Perigord Noir. We would like to welcome you at La Cipière.
