Caves
The region is known for its many caves and prehistoric villages, so called ‘abri’s’. Virtually nowhere else in the world have there been so many finds of our forefathers. Within 15 minutes by car, many different historic parks and caves are located.

Throughout the Perigord Noir there are many castles that are well worth the effort to visit. Beautiful old cities like Sarlat (20 km) and Montignac (15 km) are vibrant cities full of monuments and local markets.

The rivers Vézère and Dordogne flow through the Perigord Noir and offer many canoeing routes. For swimming fans, not far away from La Cipière a small but beautiful swimming lake is located.

Around La Cipière are many walking tracks. You can walk straight into the woods and fields. There are many marked but also unmarked paths and trails. The quiet country roads are ideal for people who want to discover the area by bike. There are also many tracks to discover by horse and local guides organise tours.

For families with children there are lots of activities possible. Examples include a visit to a prehistoric park, an adventure park or a large playground.
